One day, my children, you will be old enough to read these words. You will ask the hard questions, face the complexities of the world, and search for meaning in your Jewish identity. And when that time comes, I want you to have these letters—words from my heart, filled with the lessons I hope will guide you.
This blog is my way of holding onto those thoughts, the ones too big for bedtime stories, too weighty for little shoulders. It’s a collection of letters about tzedek (justice), chesed (acts of loving kindness), and tikkun olam (repairing the world). It’s about the values that shaped our ancestors, the responsibilities we carry today, and the legacy I hope you’ll embrace.
But this isn’t just for you.
This is for every parent who has struggled to find the right words. For every grandparent who has watched history repeat itself and prayed the next generation will be stronger. For every person who believes that raising Jewish children isn’t just about tradition—it’s about character, resilience, and a deep, unshakable sense of justice.
Here, you’ll find letters filled with love, hope, and sometimes heartbreak. You’ll find stories that weave together past and present, lessons I wish I had learned sooner, and the wisdom I hope you carry forward.
One day, you’ll read them. Until then, I write.
